first_imgA 46-year-old man arrested on Friday in connection with the robbing of the Ayios Athanasios co-op bank, the second in a month, was remanded for eight days by the Limassol district court on Saturday.The Georgian suspect appears to have been the individual who was seen picking up the two robbers from the area where they torched the car they had used in the robbery, which landed them over €40,000.Some ten people were in the branch when the robbers barged in – five of whom were staff and four or five customers, Limassol CID chief Ioannis Soteriades said.The robbers were described as short and tanned and had used a stolen Honda to reach the bank.
