Suspect arrested in fatal Laurel shooting

Rayburn was arrested without incident around 3:30 p.m.Rayburn Jr. is accused of shooting 59-year-old Dwight Jones in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 4.Jones died one day later in an Indianapolis hospital.Detectives say the incident appears to be domestic-related.First Report (Monday @ 3:50 p.m.)FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. – Police have issued a warrant for a man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Laurel on Tuesday, November 4.An arrest warrant for murder has been issued for Bertram Rayburn, Jr., 61, of Laurel.Investigators say Rayburn should be considered armed and dangerous.Anyone with information is requested to call Indiana State Police investigators at (812) 689-5000.Franklin County deputies found Dwight Jones, 59, inside of a pickup truck at 110 Edgerton Street with a gunshot wound.Jones was later pronounced dead at an Indianapolis hospital.last_img
