The problem for most have is that nobody fully understands why Elkhart County’s COVID-19 numbers are growing so quickly.Commissioner Mike Yoder tells the Goshen News county officials talked with the state and the state wasn’t concerned enough with the spike to announce the delay on their own. Yoder says a large number of the recently confirmed cases are asymptomatic and not necessarily connected to reopening factories.Emergency Management Director Jennifer Tobey says there are also more positives as they increase testing in Latino and Amish communities.
